What is STEM?  What is the AHS STEM Club?

STEM is an acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. Amundsen High School's STEM club mobilizes these disciplines by engaging in robotics, programming competition for girls, and white hacking competitions with other regional, national and international teams. We know that STEM is the most reliable way for students to achieve a high-paying career.  We want to have fun doing it.  Clubs that participate in these competitions are common in suburban school districts, but Amundsen is one of only a handful of CPS schools that are involved. Only through the generous financial support of our community, grants, and corporations are we able to purchase materials and equipment to build rockets and robots and pay entry fees that are required to compete.
