With a total of 14 current members, AHS Robotics now has two teams! It's going to be a great year. We're already off to a promising start. Rubens G., Bryan V., Aman K., Alex S., Shivam P., Tuan L., and Coach Alur met at mHub for the unveling of this year's First Tech Challenge (FTC) game. This year's game will really challenging our students. For the first time, a part of the game will occur outside the field!
Amy E., Harshil P., Syed K., and Yash P. sacrificed countless hours of their Winter Break to make our team's robot close to completely functional. I am so impressed by the commitment made by these students. Special thanks to Oscar Delgadillo, neighborhood programming volunteer, and Josh Anders, FTC mentor, whose contribution at this time have been invaluable.

Here's a video of our lift, which finally lifted! We've been talking about this lift for the last 3 months. For those who are interested in attending, the third competition of our robotics season takes place at St. Patrick High School, 5900 W. Belmont Ave. at 1pm - 7pm on 1/7/17. The matches begin at 3:30pm. Amy E., Yash P., Jay P., Gunatit P. and Harshil P. attended and scored at the first competition of the Velocity Vortex season. Fantastic work! Special thanks to Amy's dad for help in transporting the robot and tools. We're going to be great in December! More shortly ...
Good job to Yash P, Gabby L., Juan C. and others who have been instrumental in making this ball throwing device a reality. Next week, we should get the distance that we're looking for.
